Autumn is another busy but mellow season on the farm. While the lambs are being sorted for market or for sale as breeding stock, the adult sheep are moved to their respective breeding families and the pastures are being tidied up for winter. Our kitchen garden continues to produce until the first frost arrives towards the end of October. Most years provide us with spectacular fall color in the woodlands bordering the farm and in the mountains beyond. It’s a great time to take stock of the growing season and reflect upon what we’ve accomplished. See the photo gallery below for more images.
